RATINGS – SUNDAY 23RD MAY
A big night of ratings with the much anticipated Lost finale!
The island epic (and it’s controversial ending) scored a 5.8 in 18-49 and averaged 13.5 million viewers. That’s good – but not a huge amount more than the season 6 premiere and on par with other recent (and less hyped) finales such as Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. ABC will be happy – but hardly thrilled – by the results.
Meanwhile The Celebrity Apprentice finale was watched by an average of 9.4 million viewers and earned a 3.4. That’s up on last year’s Joan Rivers finale and almost 50% up versus last week’s ratings. For a show that was technically dead a few years ago there’s still a lot of life left in the Apprentice format.
Meanwhile the Fox animation block (The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, Family Guy) were roughly in the 4-6 million range – but did decent demo numbers comparable to their ratings. While CBS screened Brooks and Dunn: The Last Rodeo – earning more viewers than Celebrity Apprentice but measly 18-49 numbers. Hardly a surprise…

Winners and Losers From The Last 7 Days WINNERS THE GOOD WIFE: It’s been on the bubble for the last few months but following a series of critical raves and plenty of coverage, The Good Wife finally showed signs of becoming a bona fide hit. Tuesday night’s episode pulled in 12.38 million viewers and a…
Nurse Jackie: Time For An Intervention?

Is it just me or is Nurse Jackie somewhat off the boil this season? We’re now several episodes into the show’s third season and while I’m still enjoying the show as a whole I’m not loving it in the way I did in year’s past. For me something just seems off about the show this…

Winners and Losers From The Last 7 Days WINNERS THE VOICE: Oops it looks like we might have boo booed here at Remote Patrolled! A few weeks ago I predicted that NBC’s new music competition series would be a big old bomb. But though I’m going to reserve full judgment until the week 2 figures…

Winners and Losers From The Last 7 Days WINNERS MOB WIVES: First up this week, some good news for Vh1! We’ve talked about the network a lot over the last few months – and most of the time it hasn’t been pretty with Vh1’s ratings in free fall for much of last year. But last…

Winners and Losers From The Last 7 Days WINNERS TOSH 2.0: We’ve talked about Comedy Central’s Tosh 2.0 a few times here on Remote Patrolled, but in a week of across the board falls Tosh is one of the few TV bright spots. On Tuesday night the comedy show bought in 3.36 million viewers and…

Winners and Losers From The Last 7 Days WINNERS PAWNSTARS / HARDCORE PAWN: To be honest it’s hard to find many winners this week, in what has been a pretty down week across the board for the networks. Sure The Grammy Awards on Sunday scored its best ratings for a decade (26.55 million viewers),…

Winners and Losers From The Last 7 Days Apologies for the lack of a Ratings Roundup these last couple of weeks – I’ve been absolutely slammed. But the Roundup is back… and there’s lots to talk about… WINNERS MR SUNSHINE: As I predicted in my Coming Soon posting Matthew Perry’s return to TV comedy proved…
