Are you a fan of movie director M.Night Shyamalan?

Chances are you’re shaking your head at the moment, especially if you sat through Night’s last three movies: The Last Airbender, The Happening and Lady In The Water (undoubtedly one of the worst movies of the last decade in my opinion)

But let’s not forget that Shymalan has delivered in the past – most notably with Signs (starring a pre-Meltdown Mel Gibson), Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense (which I personally hated but I know a lot of people loved). Heck I even quite liked The Village, despite an excruciating first hour…

Well the guys over at MTV have put together a rather clever little spoof, with Night himself… called Escalator!

It’s good fun… but what made me do a double take was the other guy in the clip… I know that man!

His name is Josh Horowitz and I hired him about 4 year ago as a guest booker on a show we were developing with E! At the time Josh had his own blog called Better Than Fudge, had recently published a book about movies (The Mind of the Modern Moviemaker) and was just a generally funny and smart character with a great knowledge and love of movies… fast forward a few years and Josh is now firmly planted at MTV online, producing a whole range of blog content, movie spoofs and comedy interviews… like this one with Steve Carrell for Dinner For Schmucks…

I’m a big believer in following your passion… whatever that might be. It’s one of the reasons I started Remote Patrolled, our sister site, Good Enough Mother and launched my own production company, Savannah Media…

It’s heartening to see someone you work with follow their passions – especially when they’re nice guys!

So well done Josh – and keep us in the loop on any future clips…
