First Look: The Game Change Trailer
Feb 1st
Tina who? Who would have thought that anyone would have been able to outdo Tina Fey when it came to her dead on impression of divisive VP candidate Sarah Palin? But take a look at the just released trailer for HBO’s Game Change – and darn it if Julianna Moore doesn’t pull off a pretty pitch perfect Palin. As you doubtless know by now, Game Change is based on the best-selling book that chronicled the 2008 Presidential campaign on both the Democrat and GOP sides. I never got around to reading the book, though it was on my ‘must read’ list for a while. Unfortunately by the time I actually got round to the book I felt like I’d heard and read everything I possibly could about the pivotal election. And of course I already knew a movie was on the way – and I’d always much rather just wait for the film! (more…)
First Look: The Game Of Thrones Season 2 Trailer
Jan 30th
Here it is – at long last the first ‘real’ look at Game Of Thrones, season 2.
Yep, no more teasers and on-set stills, this trailer features actual footage from the upcoming series, which I’d rate as probably one of the most anticipated shows of 2012.
I’m a big Game Of Thrones fan – which I have to say surprises me as I’m normally not into Lord Of The Rings style mythical series. And I have to admit it was touch and go for me during the first few episodes of Season 1. But then I think Game really found its footing and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Not much to say about the trailer at this stage as of course it’s still fairly vague. But we can already see that the teenage King Joffrey is still as repulsive as ever, things aren’t looking too good for the villainous Cersei Lannister, Daenerys is continuing to grow stronger as she morphs into the Dragon Queen – and Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion is the undisputed star of the show, especially coming off a slew of award show wins. Amazing how one role can transform an actor’s entire career…

But how will they break the news to Maggie’s overprotective, judgmental parents? And will Rob ever be a true part of the family? Get ready for stereotypes aplenty and endless culture clash jokes…

Jan 10th
