GRIMM: A tough week all round for the broadcast networks as the 2012 slumps continue…
It’s been hard to pick ANY winners this week, but at a push I’d go for Grimm, one of the few new shows for NBC that hasn’t been a total disaster from the get go.
On Friday nights Grimm is holding its own, this week pulling in 5.58 million viewers (in preliminary figures) and a 1.7 18-49 share.
No one’s going to be doing cartwheels over those numbers but for Friday nights those are decent figures and actually BETTER than many of the ratings NBC is pulling in better slots across the week. Yep the network really is in that bad a shape.
And now onto the losers… and boy are there lots!

For a show in its 23rd ‘season’ that’s pretty darn good going. And even more impressive is the fact that Survivor even beat The X Factor in the same timeslot, with the Simon Cowell music competition show managing ‘just’ 10.70 million (though the X Factor was slightly ahead in the demo with a 3.4). No wonder CBS just keeps renewing the show season after season…
PERSON OF INTEREST: Another show I haven’t written about for a while is CBS’s under the radar Person Of Interest. Launched with great expectations, the J.J.Abrams thriller has been on the bubble for More >
